Because even I, as one of Camel's oldest and most ardent fans, can't find much nice to say about The Single Factor.

It isn't their best,  but better than  the dire Stationary Traveller.

ELP's Love Beach...should be called Prog Beach!, smooth, polished & shiny just like all that spray on tanning solution the guys wear on the cover. Can anything be more prog? I think not! The most progressive cheesy music you will ever hear! If you're ever feeling down give it a listen and see a smile of condescension unconsciously spread on your face. You will feel much better!

Oh Jeez, I'm laughing like a mad and tears run down from my eyes... This is bloody fantastic poll and my congratulation goes to The.Crimson.King and Dr. Occulator for the funniest comments here :-D  And I'm sad I voted for Styx's Kilroy as I would be very happy now to be in 'Love Beach' club. What a shame and loss for me...! On the other side, Styx is third and it's not that bad :-) I didn't expected such hilarious success :-)

You can still join the Love Beach Club!  Just get yourself a spray tan, unbutton your shirt, flash some chest hair, and sing along with Greg..."You can walk Love Beach forever, till it lives inside your head..."

I agree, Stationary Traveller is a superb recording. The instrumentals alone are worth the price of admission, but the songs are great. Quite an underrated album in the "Camel canon," it seems!

Both.

All 3 'GabrielGenesis', 'MythicalMike' & 'MemoryCube' have been suspended...though I gathered from reading their exchanges with Dean that they were all the same troll posting from the same location.  It sure has been a crazy summer between this guy and knobby Wink

Since he/they are gone now, we should get this poll locked so Love Beach can be cemented as the winner of a "best prog album" poll before too many people come in after the dust settles and give legitimate answers. Tongue

Great idea!  I'd also like to see "Nektar Recycled and/or ELP Love Beach" changed back to "ELP Love Beach" so there will be no confusion as to what masterpiece won the "Best Prog Album" poll fair and square Wink
