In this order: Matte Kundesai is that gentle side of King Crimson which is too often ignored. Beautiful song with a great melody. The Real Me by the Who has some great bass playing courtesy of the late Ox. I also like The Sun in My Eyes by the Tangent.
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

C'mon how can I not vote Wax Simulacra? Such a fantastic song right there, and so so difficult to keep up with on the drums.

I really love Separation as well though

Tough choice between Cynic and Marillion, went with Cynic as I consider Hotel Hobbies only part of a suite (as already mentioned).

One vote for The Tangent. It may not be their "proggiest" tune, but damn it's catchy!

Here it is. I can't believe that's actually what Thomas is playing in the track legit. Like that bass work is incredible.

I know. That's one thing I'll always admire about The Mars Volta; the drumming is always stellar.
