Easy vote for Metallica for me. I like Pantera but they never had the same impact with me that Metallica had.

I prefer Down to Pantera...
Apart from Pantera's 'cowboys from hell' I don't really like them. Unfortunately, I am not acquainted with their glam metal stuff.

This. I enjoy Cowboys from Hell and Vulgar Display of Power, but Metallica is on another planet for me.

Heard bugger-all Pantera in my life, what little I have heard didn't grab me at all.
'tallica on the other hand.........(though I don't listen to these guys much anymore). Love Death Magnetic heaps, have the dbl LP release of it too, so this one gets spun occasionally. Oh, and the Creeping Death EP, with the awesome rendition of Am I Evil? on it. |

I never did get into Pantera. Metallica on the other hand is what started my interest in music, though my tastes have made some dramatic changes since then. Still, I will occasionally give their music a listen since they've got some gat music.

Here i would easily pick Metallica cause they have tons of songs that Pantera doesn't have even if i like Pantera.

And I too. Metallica is a great band, and their music involved many people to listen to the progressive rock.
