Man, what a game!  Had a chance at the end but just couldn't get there.  Too many penalties and the first half turnover were killers.

Panthers really do look great on both sides of the ball.

I'm still not completely sold on Carolina offensively, though Cam certainly has the potential. That defense however...

Still...two quality wins in two weeks.

That was a great game, but it ended in a horrible way. I love seeing the Pats lose in any way possible, but that was one of the most obvious holding calls you'll ever see.

Damn.  I finally tied for first place in the football picks pool but lost the tiebreaker on points.  My boss and another guy had 42 points and I had 46 points.  Apparently, even though we were all 2 points from the total I lose because I was over.  Cry

Yeah especially since they threw the flag and then picked it up.  But that pass would have been picked anyway.

^ I'm not so sure honestly. Gronk was ridden at least 3 yards back by the time this pic was taken. If not, maybe he makes the catch of his life. It's not likely, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be called.

I was dead tired, ended up falling asleep in the 3rd quarter (also assuming that New England was gunna win it anyway) so was quite shocked to see I missed quite an epic game, and apparently controversial. I've yet to see the play, will do so when I get back from work...but what I hear is general consensus that yeah..they did get screwed BUT: 1) it happens 2) lol karma for the all the good luck/calls they've had 3) it may have been a pick anyway 4) they (or gronk) still woulda needed to make something happen or as Pat and some others have said...they could've played better and not be in that spot.

Regardless, I missed something wild, and apparently Carolina is looking legit, and not just on defense!
I liked Cam his rookie year, he's been a bit young (OMG I forgot a QB can have youth struggles) but maybe he's turning a bit of a corner.

Yeah, I ate major crow after predicting his epic flop in the NFL. He's been impressive from the start, still ironing out the wrinkles but yeah...can't always have a Matt Ryan and Flacco. Esp for a running QB in a kinda whacky college system, really something how he's been coming.

I really don't like his attitude, but he's certainly proved me wrong about his playing ability. He still has his WTF throws at least once during a game it seems. However, he's good enough for it to not matter.

Denver/NE is of course the big one this week, but I can't wait for Cowboys/Giants.

Could be a huge game by season's end, I'd say perhaps the most critical game of the year but really, have to adopt a "win every game no exception" mentality from here out anyway.
Bad Dallas defense, better looking Giants (not that they're real good) I am fairly hopeful.

I agree on the holding call that wasn't made. But even if they had made it, the odds that the Pats would have scored the winning TD on a time-expired play was still marginally low.

Still though. It makes me excited for that Saints-Panthers game in about 2 weeks.

The NFL is a f**king joke. What a terrible call against JJ's Giants. And what a f**king joke that drool oaf Troy Aikman is for defending that bullsh*t. Garbage league.

Giants piss away another very possible win. What a f**king pitiful display. The Cruz fumble was the difference in the end. Or the Giants agonizing difficulty in scoring TDs, or all the penalties. Antrel bigmouth Rolle had to cover slot corner due to injury and he responded with his usual...get totally burned. Dallas really targeted him on that final drive. Hope that guy is booted off this team, plus the off coordinator.

Also f**k Hakeem Nicks, I loved that guy but he took himself out of the game last week, then was a last second scratch despite no injury news? Add to it his comment "I really have nothing to say to yall now" bitch ass punk, how badly could we have used him in this game, the biggest of the year . Should've traded him for anything they could've gotten.
