Question is simple, which one do you guys think is going to be better?
Playing a three-hour Rush show is like running a marathon while solving equations.

The new DT song is pretty bad. The songs off The Mountain sound fantastic - creative and interesting.

DT, though neither have me waiting with baited breath lol. It would be nice to something other than the tired, recycled prog metal. Would love to hear some great song craft, which neither is great at IMO.
A GREAT YEAR FOR PROG!!!

Haken because it sounds like they are going to move further from what they have been doing, which is what they should be doing.

I imagine Haken.

I'm still hoping DT will come with something really great. The single they just released was nice but far from a masterpiece, yet it's only the single and it's suposed to be the more commercial and less soffisticated song, there is still hope for the rest of the album to be great. However, I kind of expect more from Haken... they are just in that part of their career when they release their best material, while DT is well past that time. Plus, the songs from Haken that they have showed from their new album are really great (much better than DT's).

DT has been recycling the same stuff for so long I've lost hope for them to do anything fresh

Haken has potential to be really good - fingers crossed

I don't think the Mountain will be as good as their previous album (Visions), but will definitely be better than Dream Theater, who have been in decline since Six Degrees.

Could go either way; I liked Visions and ADTOE about equally.

I'd vote for sure for Haken... very impressed with The Mountain and how versatile and diverse that album is, much unlike Dream Theater's output the 10 + previous years.

Dream Theater definitely....

Haken has been the more exciting band right now and The Mountain has grown to be more creative overall than DT12.

Kinda pointless to ressurect this poll since it was about making a prediction back in 2013, right?
I did not expect much from DT but the album was ok (what's up with that drum sound?)
I remember everyone expected a lot from Haken, since their first two albums pleased most people that are into progressive metal.
