Not really fair as Ange and Magma have huge careers but there are many excellent discs from France, past an present such as Xang, Taal, Step Ahead, Nemo, Neo, Cosmos Dream, Chance, Magnesis, Eidolon, Maldoror, Tai Phong, Patrick Broguiere, Progression by Failure, Seven Reizh, One Shot and many many more.....

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

They do have international members, but according to PA and Wiki, Gong was formed in Paris, and the poll is "Favourite Band From France"

I love Pulsar. Halloween was the first album I ever bought by a French band...soon after I bought "Strands of the Future" and "Pollen". Then I discovered Ange and me and French prog have been tight ever since

Really tough choice between Magma, Shub Niggurath & Eskaton
Eskaton > Magma > Shub Niggurath > Dun > Setna > Scherzoo > Moving Gelatine Plates > Art Zoyd > Weidorje > Vortez > Zao
