We are on it, I sent a mail to the band for more info.
But I'm afraid becausde of the reviews
“Personally, I’d rather listen to a dentist drill then Fright Pig. I sent him the dry cleaning bill after he threw a glass of hard corn syrup at me during our interview. Bad music...and bad manners. Fright Pig is a disgrace...”
-Sebastian the Butcher “Makin’ Bacon...A Survival Guide” |
And my impression of the Heavy connection was reinforced
“What do you get when you combine the majesty of Transatlantic, the raw power of Metallica, and the compositional beauty of Yes? I don’t know...but you don’t get Fright Pig...”
-Felix Snodgrass, “Great Barns of New England” |
Sea of Tranquility says:
The great thing about Fright Pig is that these guys don't really sound like any other band in recent memory, and they certainly don't mimic any of the classic acts either, save for some moments of ELP styled bombast and Peter Gabriel-ish vocals in spots. Out of the Barnyard is fun stuff, quite fulfilling if you are a prog fan, and whether they decide to carry on in this anonymous fashion (almost like prog rock's version of Swedish metal act Ghost) we can only hope for more in the very near future.

But will check them carefully

Already suggested:
If you check that thread you will see that the artist is a member of PA and has said he will let us know when the album is going to be streamed on House of Prog so that we can decide which team would be best to do an evaluation.
By the way, those first two reviews are jokes.

I guessed so (I was joking with the first one) , but I tend to go with Sea of Tranquility's opinion, not sure of Symph, Heavy or both (The second one, joke or not, has some truth).
I feel there's a huge amount of Symph and Metal, but not enough for Prog Metal, so IMO they are between Symph and Heavy.

Sorry guys, I typed the band on the forum search and nothing came so I decided to post a new thread. But good they're here already to evaluation.
