Feels like 1000 horror B-movies playing at once as filtered through the mind of Charles Baudelaire's ghost.

Listening to the Japanese Genesis, Shingetsu:

Another classic post-punk group I haven't gotten around to listening to until now. Really nails that weirdly colourful and stylized vibe of dystopian grimness I like about the music, literature and cinema of 1980s.

Oh yes one of my absolute favourite post-punk bands! I thought I was the only one on PA who listened to these guys. The two follow ups are equally great, I myself have a thing for their 1986 release Strange Times.
Brilliant to see a Chameleons mention in here.

Currently digging the hell out of Majeure's latest album 'Solar Maximum'. This cat can really play those synths, and then to think he mostly resides behind the drumkit in US Berlin School revivalists Zombi. On this he seems to have created a modern twist on the late 70s German scene, supported by some occasional motorik drumming work. The main focus though is those beautiful synths.
