10-4LOL

I love that Diagonal album too. One of the very best "recreations" of the classic prog sound imho.

I have that album - they're from Athens Georgia (near me) I believe.  Very neat band, haven't spun them in a long time.

^^Listened to that earlier today. I think it's one of the best sounding 80s albums. Maybe it was all that acid Robert Smith did while fiddling with knobs in the studio that paid off. Whatever he did, I'm eternally grateful...

Hah, the only reason I know of them, and indeed own this one, is because Pyramid of the Sun featured Steve Moore from Zombi. I really like his way round the old school electronics, and they mesh so well with their style.

I was reminded to listen to it because of the poll. I like it , but I'm still not sure. I guess I haven't listened to it as much as the earlier albums and at the moment I am really enjoying Kiss Me! Especially the 'title' track The Kiss which is fantastic. Anyway, I do think The Cure (whoever that may be) was one of the most consistent bands around.

Now listening to 'Head on the Door' .

That was my introduction to them, and it remains my favorite, largely for sentimental reasons.
