Best band ever. Kind of hard to pick, really.

Hah!! That's definitely a first for me!
Faust top 5LOL

How about 10?

Daddy Take The Banana! Tomorrow Is Sunday! - Take The Banana, ForeverHeartHeartHeart
Krautrock - Corroding acid being slushed down your eardrain pipe? Why thank you very much.
Faust Tapes side 1 (never thought of is as separate parts really) - Swooping down the rabbit-hole with everything from jitterbug blues to sawing sharp assaulting electronics and guitar screeches.
Rainy Day - Dance the night away!
So Far - Ditto, in a slightly different manner.
Jennifer - Triple ditto, and thanks for the sweat!
A Bit Of A Pain - Just works for some inexplicable reason. Like brushing teeth.
Gigi Smile - Beautiful blue music. Deserves to be played in winter mornings where the darkness has a blue tone to it.
The Sad Skinhead - The music you play to librarians, when you're fed up by silence.
Meadow Meal - I've got a thing for water, rain and fluidity in music, and this one's got it in spades. Keeps me swimming.
“The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”

They have songs?

Ha ha, just kidding.  Here's my favorites:

the "Stretch out Time" section of the Faust Tapes
the "Flashback Caruso" section of the Faust Tapes
It's a Rainy Day, Sunshine Girl
No Harm
Mamie is Blue

I love plenty of other moments, but those are the top 5.  On the post 1990 albums I enjoy a lot of it, but I don't know them by their track names as much.

In no particular order:

It's a Rainy Day, Sunshine Girl
Accroché à Tes Lèvres
Babylon
Picnic on a Frozen River, Deuxième Tableaux (Or "Giggy Smile" depending on if you have the release that labeled them properly or not; I don't)
C'est Com Com Compliqué

Probably my favourite krautrock band, no matter how much I f**king love Can.

edit: I seem to be the only person listing recent Faust tracks at all

You are. I have never heard any of the post-'70s albums, although the first time I had ever heard of them was in a gig review in RollingStone sometime in the mid-'90s. There are two different versions of the band now isn't there? That sorta makes things confusing.

Could you describe what the modern Faust sounds like compared to the earlier version?
