Triumvirat are a band that went through their fair share of musical changes during their tenure, as well as members who did lead vocals on their albums.
I am curious to know who you think is their best at lead vocals?
For me, it is definitely Helmut Koellen. He has a strong, deep vocal delivery full of feeling and emotion. Even Barry Palmer cannot surpass him, though Barry is quite good.
I don't find Jurgen Fritz a good vocalist, though the man sure makes up for it as a musician.
Here is a breakdown of lead vocal duties on their albums-

Mediterranean Tales-Jurgen Fritz, Hans Pape

Illusions On A Double Dimple-Jurgen Fritz, Helmut Koellen

Spartacus-Helmut Koellen

Old Loves Die Hard-Barry Palmer

Pompeii-Barry Palmer

A La Carte-Barry Palmer, David Hanselmann

Russian Roulette-Arno Steffen

Definately Helmut, Doug!

Two votes for Barry Palmer, eh?! Hmmm, did Barry sign up two accounts on here lol?!

I kid, I've actually grown quite fond of those Palmer-fronted albums.

Helmut sings on Spartacus, so that was easy.

Well, I'll admit mine is the maestro himself. As unpolished as his voice is I can't help but associate him with all those eargasms he's given me on Illusions and Mediterranean Tales (A class A vinyl rig helps)!

On those albums, the only Fritz lead vocals are at the first section of the Mister Ten Percent suite. None on Spartacus.

^Hey Doug, Helmut Koellen performance has also delighted me with that brilliant melodies he sings in Spartacus, especially in The School Of Instant Pain, and in the section of Mediterranean Tales - Across The Waters that I most enjoy - the amazing Be Home For Tea.

^hey, Ric, great to hear from you. I don't think Helmut does any vocals on Mediterranean Tales, though, my friend. I believe it's Jurgen or Hans Pape on Be Home For Tea.

Helmut Köllen.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.
