Brilliant album and my gateway to French prog! |
I couldn't have voted for it as number one, but it would have been in my top five.

Wind and Wuthering was actually released in 1976. December 27th of that year but still 1976.

i believe that's why there's that confusion on being released in '76 or '77

I also love '77 because it produced one of my fave hard rock albums of all time:Let There Be Rock - AC/DC |
Nice one !
Also one of my favorite heavy metal albums was released that year, Judas Priest's Sin After Sin. |
cool, but why don't classic rock radio stations play songs from this album i have no idea; that is just bullsh*t.

1313 just over Mirage on the list. Franco Leprino's Integrati... Disintegrati would have been my choice had it made the list.

Wind & Wuthering. This was a vote for Blood on the Rooftops and In That Quiet Earth. Otherwise I would have voted for the Geese & the Ghost or Animals. Or Eloy's Ocean maybe, I haven't heard that in so long.

Hmmmmm...I've always considered W&W to be a 1976 album, probably because that's when it was originally released. Lots of good ones here. The Geese and the Ghost; Feels Good to Me; Going for the One; Songs from the Wood; National Health; Morrocan Roll. Dang. 1977 was a pretty good year for prog, considering both punk and disco were in full swing. And new wave was really getting started.

Genesis' Wind & Wuthering was released in Dec of 1976 not in 1977 so this should be omitted from the list. Anyway, I went with Animals, which is, quite simply, one of my favorite albums of all-time.

I give my vote Mr. Hammill. Over is one hell of an album. So dark it's almost hard to listen to.

Just coudn't let Forse Le Lucciole Non Si Amano Piu - Locanda della Fate without having a honorable vote here, this masterpiece is my favourite easily above the ones here from Genesis and Yes. But I forgot I had already voted for Eloy - Ocean, I think this poll should allow us more than only one single vote, given the good albums in the list.
