Pretty much by chance, I noticed that Bob has recently retired as a moderator.

We have been interacting (on and off) since 2005 and whilst our musical preferences were very different, I always admired his skills of diplomacy. Walking his tightrope well under testing circumstances, he was a great asset to PA.

Well, I am the opposite and my blunt and outspoken nature saw me being dumped as a Special Collaborator some years ago. Now as a "newbie" under a different name  I still make my contribution from the sidelines and Bob had been very supportive to that regardless of musical differences.

Frankly, I am surprised that I haven't been able to unearth a single thread thanking Bob for a nearly decade long service to PA.  If you care, put your hands together as a sign of appreciation and respect to a devoted, long-time and tireless worker as a farewell gesture.       .ClapClapClap

I don't know anyone who doesn't like Bob.   That's quite an accomplishment.

I haven't been privy to the Collab Zone in years.
Would it be reasonable to ask that the masses to be informed, not just the insiders?

Bob had been a great asset, surely worth of respect beyond just the closed doors of the " elite" on PA?

Might I also say Bob is a terrific music journalist, with few as vastly knowledgeable.

I might like to add that to his credit, Bob did contribute to Forums beyond being a moderator.
Only a select few of Collabs ever bother relating to "foot soldiers (the majority!) by acknowledging their existence and partaking in discussions - not from behind closed doors.. 

Bob was not acting out of ego, but of service.
