I like "Break On Through (to the other side). I think it's hilarious how Frank Sinatra was so influential to Jim Morrison. The first line of the song.."You know..the day destroys the night" (I believe)...it's VERY Frank..if you know what I mean? "You're Lost Little Girl" is very Sinatra. Morrison may be the only artist who found a way to combine some of the style of Sinatra's vocal work with Rock music....Although..I've only discovered this in recent years. Back in the 60's when I bought Doors albums...it would have never occured to me. I discovered that Morrison was a huge Sinatra fan by watching The Doors documentaries on Y.T.  Now..I've been checking the comparison between the 2. I love Strange Days and Moonlight Drive.

Choosing ten is a difficult proposition, but strictly on how I feel today and in chronological order:

End of the Night
When the Music's Over
Not to Touch the Earth
Spanish Caravan
The Soft Parade
Shaman's Blues
The Spy
Maggie M'Gill
Been Down So Long
The Wasp

...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

The End is an incredible song - whats it really about?

Suicide? War? Insanity? Losing consciousness? Drug trip? All of these?
