You're really not making this easy are you?AngryConfusedLOL
I'm stuck between Kraan, Material and Herbie. Man how could I ever choose....

BTW Nice to see Hallucination Engine mentioned on the forums. I really love that thing!

Jaga Jazzist, fairly easily.

I'm going with my gut feeling on this and giving it to Material. A fantastic pairing of IDM, fusion, Indian music and something altogether different.

That Jaga Jazzist album is my favorite Jazz-related album. Absolutely love the band. Progressive sounding without all the hubbub that sometimes comes with it.

The Royal Scam is my favorite Steely Dan album and I still listen to it a lot.  It's odd thinking of it as jazz/fusion, but since that's how SD is classified here,  I see why it's on the poll that way.  I'll give it my vote, with honorable mention to Embryo, one of the classiest (and most productive) German bands.  On the Corner by M. Davis is also really nice, maybe a distant third here.

I really like the Jazz/Fusion of Miles and Herbie, but I don't have these particular albums. I do, however, have Pat Metheney's Offramp and it is great so it got my vote.

Pat Metheny, Offramp.
BTW I wouldn't categorize Steely Dan, Royal Scam as Jazz Rock Fusion. Maybe a blend but for me fusion means Weather Report, Return to Forever, Brand X & Miles Bitches Brew period.

Steely Dan is (obviously) one of my favorite bands, and I do dig Jaga. But I voted for Material because I'm embarrassed by how few ratings/reviews they've received on this site. Seriously, folks, not much else was happening in the prog world around that time. Did nobody notice the really interesting and cool things Material was up to?!?

I clicked on On The Corner but that one could be also Whenever I Seem To Be Far Away and (or) Royal Scam.

My fav jazz-rock album ever Where Have I Know You Before by RTF is not on the list, though.

Sextant. I also love On The Corner.
I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.
