Yeah Jose. Train of thought was their balls album. :)

So much might on that one. Definitely in my top 5 for DT magic. :)

I really like how "In the Name of God" resolves itself song structure wise.
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Just one special note.

Falling into infinity isn't a terrible album to or for me.
Their is really only 2 tracks that I cannot get into or appreciate very much and those tracks are "just let me breathe' and "take away my pain". "You not, me " is a bit of a stretch but I don't mind it.
Take away my pain is the most loathed DT song for me I think of all time. The chorus is like nails on a chalk board for me, but keep in mind James LaBRie was not a 100% vocally due to that awful good poisoning he had, which strained one of his vocal chords. Poor guy.
At least he's recovered and you really notice it on 6 degrees. ;)
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

2) Train of Thought
3) Images and Words
4) Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence

6) Dream Theater

8) Systematic Chaos
9) A Chance of Seasons
10) Falling into Infinity
11) Awake
12) Black Clouds & Silver Linings
13) When Dream and Day Unite

I don't know what happened to Awake, but I suddenly don't like it as much as I used to. It used to be in my top 3, and even sometimes my favorite DT album, but it's recently just not as good as I used to think it was.

I've seen Dream Theater's debut album at the bottom of some lists and I can't help asking what's wrong with it?
Confused

I think it's great, there's an enthusiasm of youth there, there's energy and competence (they were barely 21 when it came out).

For me, there's nothing wrong with it.

But I like all of there albums to some extent, and unfortunately one of them has to sit at the bottom of the list.

I have to say I'm really surprised at all the love for Train Of Thought on here. It always seemed to get no respect on this site for as long as I can remember and the reason I know is because it's my favourite from them too. Maybe history has been kind to this heavy beast.

Love it! I haven't really given them much of a chance. When I have it sounds like a bunch of metal to my ears.

Lol. I was trolling. I am not big on the Theater of Dreams though

OK, so now it seems I can't post any reply, only direct posts. Is there really nobody who cares and can do something about it around here? This has gone on for too long and there's complaints about it all the time and still nothing is done about it.

I absolutely love Train of Thought. It has aged incredibly. I think it is DT's heaviest album and they did such a good job in creating a heavy album that breathes. I mean the 7 track structure is awesome and I love how ' Vacant' gives the listener a chance to calm down from all the previous tracks that make you headbang like a crazy person.
This album has it all if you are like me, whereby I adore heavy music that is both melodic, proggy and bone crunching.
Let's just face it, 'As I Am' has one of thee very best opening guitar riffs on planet metal.

In this post. I give all my praise to train of thought...in fact i am going to listen to right now loud as f**k!!

Later!!
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣
