And there's no indication whatsoever they're taking the piss, like with soundalikes Fossil Fuel. That the person making the YouTube video has made it mostly out of 4chan memes strikes me as strangely appropriate.

As for seen live, that would haver to be Vicious Rumors in the early '80s.   Beyond that I cannot count the number of bands I've listened to and said "this may be the worst band I've ever heard".

Hey, it's so lovely!

Are you diehard, or just a casual fan of the band?

AC are taking the piss and quite obviously so so they don't count. If Lightning Rod's a comedy act in the same vein, they're an extremely subtle and dedicated one.

I might also submit Bestial Colony, the Singaporean black metal version of The Shaggs. I do find the sheer WTF factor of their music endearing, but still...

Hmm the Danish act Kandis is definitely up there with the worst. Come to think of it, anything that sounds remotely like "Dansk Toppen" makes me cringe and run screaming away. Germany makes this kind of "music" too, they just call it schlager. Hansi Hinterseer and Andrea Berg springs to mind ughDead

They're Scott Walker and PJ Harvey next to this gentleman. I know he's technically Austrian not German, but still...

I suppose you're also familiar with Swedish Dance Band music. Horrible! Can it even be called music?  LOL

Wouldn't quite consider myself diehard, but not a casual fan of them either. I've got more than a few of their albums. I also like their early stuff as well.

I thoroughly love, and absolutely loathe grindcore at the same time.
