Sheet Music is one of the cleverest, funniest, art rock albums of all time.

The Original Soundtrack is also very good.

Yep. At the time the record  went out, Brian Wilson declared : " That is what we should make today !"

Never was a big 10 cc fan....but Soundtrack and How Dare You are decent 'art pop' and they had some nice pop on the other ones also..........went with How Dare You simply because Art For Art's sake is on that one.
They always struck me as being Steely Dan lite.

I always wondered if 10cc knew Gentle Giant and specially the song: " School days " on "Three Friends". It could have been an influence on the work of Kevin Godley and Lol Creme.

Kevin Godley's high voice has a similar tone to that of Phil Shulman or Kerry Minnear, now that you mention it.

Yes, it's true. Bu I hear more that. Something in the harmony, specially at the entering of the piano in the GG song.

Definitely sh*t Music for me Wink
This is one album I'll never get tired of playing, so clever and enjoyable.
I think a lot of 10cc fans must check out Godley & Creme second album titled "L". Brilliant stuff.

Do the Wall Street shuffle Hear the money rustle Watch the greenbacks tumble Feel the Sterling crumble
When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Only a vote for Deceptive Bends. Of course, Godley and Creme left, but the album is very good in my opinion. And I'm not really in love with Original Soundtrack.
