What prog groups/solo artists do you own everything by? When i say everything, i mean sound recordings and videos authorised (sorry, don't mention unauthorised bootlegs-they are illegal, etc)

A lot of what i have everything by are groups with hardly any output. (I guess i am pretty good at fault finding with most prog artists at some point)

here's my list

Aardvark
Badger
Colosseum 2
Dzyan
Libra
Midnight Circus
Quatermass
Snoball
Spermull
Sun Treader
Triade
Triumvirat
Vita Nova

Lessee...  not sure about videos, I don't really collect those, but audio wise, I'm complete with these:

there's fewer than I thought, really, because I don' usually bother with every archival live album, greatest hits cd, and other peripheral things.

Camel
Captain Beefheart
Magma?  - may be one or two recent archival things I don't have yet
Creedle - 3 albums yippee
Dungen
Earth and Fire
Frank Zappa ?-- may be one or two recent archival things I don't have yet
Harvey Milk
McDonald and Giles (ha ha)
Mogwai - all except some remix album by a bunch of other guys.  I hate those things.
Can - I think?
Porcupine Tree
Secret Oyster
Thinking Plague
Thinking Fellers Union Local 282

That's a solid list of bands for sure.

I don't think I own everything by a single band, unless you only count studio albums in which case I got:

Astra
Khan... hehe
The Mars Volta
Rush
Sigur Ros
Mr. Bungle

Just going with artists with more than 5 albums and I'm not going to count videos/DVD's for the purpose of this exercise as it would be probably then rule everyone out!

IQ
ELP
Muse
Kate Bush
Par Lindh Project
Neal Morse

and I would also count Eloy if I had 'Wild Geese' or whatever its called which is load of bollocks apparently and I will never own

I must also be close to owning all Mike Oldfield's albums but I would need to check.

Vangelis also close but I no longer own Invisible Connections on cassette (think it got binned) and I'm reluctant to shell out the prices being asked for the CD (£20 + I believe on Amazon)

Rush - I'm only missing the debut album

Only Coda, I think (Dutch symphonic prog band)
That only is two studio albums, a cd single and a beginnings-cd (which hasn't been added to the PA database, I see now)
I'm not a collector type, so it seems.
Genesis and Yes come close, but I don't have all the official live albums, videos, remasters with extra added tracks etc.

I own all of the classic eras of bands like Genesis, Yes, and Rush, but not actually an entire discography!

Discounting bands with only a couple of albums

Aranis
The Future Kings Of England
Univers Zero
Thinking Plague
Gilgamesh
National Health
Yugen
Brandt Brauer Frick
North Sea Radio Orchestra
Ligeia Mare
Diablo Swing Orchestra
Anglagard
Eskaton

I'm always a bit dubious of people who claim to have all King Crimsons official releases as it runs to well over 100 with all the live releases.

There's more on this list than I thought there'd be. Most of these only have a couple albums out Wink

Dream Theater (30+ different albums/CD's/collections) though I know I don't own every single release, due to all of their official bootlegs.
The Happy Maladies
The Head and the Heart
Iron Maiden (studio albums)
Manoverboard (local band)
Metallica
Mumford and Sons
Muse
Periphery
Rush (studio albums)
Shiny Toy Guns
Them Crooked Vultures

I think the only bands I truly "have everything by" are Djam Karet, Goblin, Zombi and SFF (minus Spektakel).

I own everything by Rush except...Rush.

You ought to try and pick up Spektakel...it's very cool and really shows a different side to what SFF could do when matched up with a vocalist Wink
