Daphne Oram (December 31, 1925 - January 5, 2003), was a pioneering British composer and electronic musician. She was the creator of the "Oramics" technique, a technique used to create electronic sounds.

Really interesting BBC article about her, just after her death, here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/2669735.stm.
 
Obviously a major pioneer in the development of electronic music, and I guess she wouldn't be out of place on here at all...but Prog Electronic really ain't my comfort zone, so we need someone like Gulle, Alex (Sheavy) or Philippe to chip in here and say whether this amazing lady is worthy of an evaluation or not.  Embarrassed

Daphne Oram was an amazing pioneer of Electronic Music, but Prog she was not.

Her work is a bit too early to fit under Prog Electronic here, despite being very influential.
