The first one is a total classic, Gary, one of my absolute favourites, sh*t-hot beginning to end. If there's a fire in the house, I'm grabbing that one!  The second one `Lost Mankind' I picked up recently on reissued CD, but I haven't played it yet or heard it in years. I remember it being decent, but certainly not up to the standard of the debut, and they brought in some lousy female singers?! They're all over the third album `As a Keepsake', which is much more commercial but still alright in parts. |

^ You are right on, Michael. Desert Places was the first album I bought by the band and nothing that came later reached that level. Lost Mankind is a decent album but falls short of the debut.

Hi there people!
Are any of you familiar with the new Rega Planar 3 from last year? http://www.rega.co.uk/planar-3-2016.html Been thinking about upgrading my record player and judging by the extremely positive reviews online my take is that I'm basically getting the qualities of a 5000 dollar record player for a fifth of the price. My Denon dp 47f is alright I guess but a hear vague mechanical noise whenever using it (maybe a new stylus? Hasn't been changed ever methinks). |

It's alright Gary - I'm not too keen on this whole robot business either. I was kinda expecting Jose to drop by, but I at least know and understand why he hasn't
