When you're writing a response to this quote and post it, get a captcha, and then have it all deleted after the page reloads. Ah well, sums up my sentiments better than I could put into words.

They also have a very extensive thread on posting your vinyl listens. It is very specific but you can just post your spins with minimal info or list detailed info like deadwax etching, mastering, pressing etc...You can browse the section but it grows by pages daily. They usually let it go for 250-300 pages then start a new one. Considering your collection your "likes" will grow by leaps and bounds and no captcha krapt |

^ I like that style of splatter, it's bold and the pattern is consistent.
I really like how the vinyl and the cover match. Monobrow is a Canadian trio and they play instrumental, stoner, doom. Their roots are blues rock based like most of the psych, desert, stoner bands I listen to.

If you come home with money it was not a success . I don't go anymore, I actually think it is a way for the stores to run prices a bit higher or nothing special, unless you just want to be elbow to elbow fighting for all those used VG-/VG+ high priced records. The owners have no desire to haggle on price when they have a line of people holding 20 records in their hands. To me this is like Black Friday shopping. But I do think RSD is cool, although its luster has worn off because I buy records all year long.

I've got at least 16 titles waiting with Greg Walker - I'm not fussed if I don't find anything - though one of the shops we're visiting has an extensive Metal section - Greg isn't a big fan of Tech / Extreme

It was a wonderful RSD. Took home a boatload of goodies:
Les Liaisons Dangereuses - Thelonius Monk Janus - Sun Ra Live At Oberlin College, 1965 - Son House Meeting of The Waters - Animal Collective Mad Professor Meets Jah9... In The Midst of The Storm - Mad Professor and Jah9 Dread In A Babylon - U Roy Studio One Hi Fi Special - a bunch of different Jamaican artists Nigeria Soul Power 70 - a bunch of different Nigerian artists The record store I went to did not have the Mike Watt one or the the second releases from Studio One or Sun Ra. The former two I'll probably be able to find at my other local store. I also didn't realise that one release was a new The War on Drugs release, which I'll have to find when I return to either. Might also track down the Bowie live one and the Goldie/Burial single that dropped concurrently to RSD in Britain.
