I started collecting vinyl earlier this year. I now have over 100 releases, all prog or prog-related. It's been a really fun experience collecting so far.

^^Interesting article there. Sony did release some limited Japanese pressings of a couple of their artists starting around the early 00's. I was able to snag one, Mika Nakashima's The End album, which is currently worth an assload. I wonder if they'll re-release it (making it not so much of a prized possession). Yeah it's black vinyl, but ranks as one of the "easiest on the eyes" in my collection.

I can smell her from here....... I suspect Sony will look at some back catalog, but of CD issues and prolly only pop/hip hop and jazz is my guess. I doubt they delve into some of the obscure stuff they may have pressed in Japan 20yrs ago. Curious to see how they handle this. Will they allow the excellent engineers from like Sterling Sound, Abbey Road to master/mix for vinyl their digital catalog or jump into their tape vault.....?

Quote from a BBC article on Sony.....This is encouraging, both from a QC view and offering. Japanese pressing were always top notch in the QC dept.
"Sony's move comes a few months after it equipped its Tokyo studio with a cutting lathe, used to produce the master discs needed for manufacturing vinyl records. It has not yet said which titles it will be pressing in vinyl, but big sellers in the format these days are a mixture of classic back-catalogue items and modern releases by new bands." |

Here's some things I've received recently...
That's the newest release by Sasquatch. The ZZ Top albums are Canadian pressings. I'll probably never play the picture disc but I wanted it anyway.

Hey thanks
Not rich at all, I don't sell enough of my albums to be rich ah ah These records were sold for 1 for most of them or 3, so it was quite interesting Most people spend more money in Steven Wilson's deluxe edition preorders

^ That's too bad, Tom. I understand you being pissed off.
When something (any little thing), in my every day life stops functioning properly it throws everything off it's natural balance and I don't handle that well. But hey, shopping for stereo equipment can be fun. All except for the money part of it.
