I have a recommendation, an international symphonic prog project called The Cosmic Remedy. Their first album has just been released in Finland by  www.seacrestoy.com

Members from bands/projects like:

Argos
The Samurai Of Prog
Tabula Smaragdina
Yacobs
Yesterdays

and

Seven-minute sampler of all songs available here: https://soundcloud.com/#bogatiakos/the-cosmic-remedy-album-teaser.
Sounds like a candidate for Crossover Prog rather than Symphonic from these short snippets, but the teams will need more samples (of full songs) in order to evaluate.

Just two tubes found:

Smile

Edit: It looks as though an album was due to be released by this project on bandcamp in March 2013, called 'Welcome To The Peppermint Lounge': http://cosmicremedy.bandcamp.com/, but there are no samples - just an album cover and a list of the musicians involved.

If the current album could be made available for streaming (and purchase) via bandcamp, then that would be an ideal way for our teams to access suitable samples in order to evaluate this artist, and also for the general music-buying public to get a proper feel of what the band is all about.  Embarrassed

I need more full samples before passing them to a team. For a brief second I think they're a pure prog band and then the next they're just pop rock. It's hard to tell with short samples.

Listening to it deeper, I'm willing to give these guys a go in symphonic. Crossover is the next choice.

They're discussing things in symphonic now. If things go south, I suspect they'll be moved to crossover. Give it maybe two weeks and things will likely be sorted.

The band was moved to Crossover just after Andy's last post here, and the evaluation there went well, with three straight 'yes' votes. That means that they are cleared for addition, and just waiting for a biography to be written so that the entry in the database can be made. The evaluation chart can be viewed here: http://progfreak.com/The-Cosmic-Remedy-158244.html?path=pa/recentThumbs Up
