Hi,

FULL listens, 62.

Partial listens, or just a couple of cuts here and there, 14 more.

Some of the choices are pushing it!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

65 but didn't count those that I've only heard maybe 1 or two tracks (which might take it up to 70 or so).

63 of these "top" program bands. 2 entire continents of my favorite prog were completely skipped over.

1... maybe 2 because I think I recognised one from someone's avatar and I think I may have heard it around a school friends house in 1972, I remember it because he didn't have any Slade or Mud singles and we had to listen to one of his big sister's albums that she'd borrowed from her skanky greaser boyfriend... erm we might not have listened to side two though.
What?

http://www.listchallenges.com/top-10...time?ref=shareI scored a 65 but I was counting live performances as well as hearing full albums. There are a lot of good bands who are mysteriously absent though and I think there's a bias towards newer prog.

Mmmmm. I only scored 54 on your list. The way i scored myself though is bands that I have truly explored where by I have at least listened to a full album of each, but I'd say I've heard of at least 90% of the list of bands and have some knowledge of the members. Very cool. This was fun. Thank you.
Well, it's not really MY list as in I didn't create it. I first saw this on the Yesfans website. Several of the members over there are also big prog fans(not all believe it or not though but some are). Anyway, I think just some random prog fan posted it. I'm not sure who. He(or she)may or may not be a member on here. As for Toto, well, they aren't on this site, not even as crossover prog or prog related which kind of surprises me. Anyway, Toto are about as much of a prog band as Steely Dan are which is to say they MIGHT qualify depending on who you talk to. But I have to say that if Asia didn't have the members that they have they wouldn't be on here either.

Yeah. Toto and Styx. anyway. I figured it wasn't 'your' list of course nor is it a definitive acumen for Prog knowledge or exposure, but it is a pretty good list to get a great sense of where quality Prog comes from and where to hear it. Not bad. Thanks again though. I like list mania.

Interesting to see Discus on there, not an easy album to get that.

Only 45. But I don't listen to most of neo-prog bands so it's not a surprise for me.
