Interesting indeed, not progressive rock though. Big smile

Anyway, let me mention here they've played with vegetables in their album haha.

Well put yam yam! I at least wanted to let my prog friends know about this bizarre group. For any of you out there interested in eclectic music outside of the prog arena, check out these cool websites.

Whether this is prog or not - it's stuff you can really 'dig'...The band had to 'dig' for their instruments to start with, so I guess you could say their album was a real 'grower'. LOL The real beauty of it is though, that when you eventually get tired of listening to it all, you can simply smash the instruments to bits ala Pete Townshend, chuck the remnants into a frying pan, and knock yourself up a damn tasty stir fry! Hey there.
I think I was a lot like you when i first started out on this forum. There was so much music that I thought of as being progressive - yet none of it was featured on this site. What it boils down to in the end is that PA isn't about Progressive Music - but about Prog Rock. (The inclusion of the electronic sub comes from it being so closely interwoven with the Krautrock scene. Which is why the electronic sub on here doesn't include IDM, GOA, Trance, Glitch and other such electronica. There is no linkage to Prog Rock there, even if the music is progressive.)

Has anyone considered another category on this site? Something like progressive experimental? Cuz i'm not sure which category this group would fall into except maybe eclectic

Pretty funny stuff and unique. If you ask me progressiveness is not only repeating what's been done but also turning your food into music! The music is actually pretty cool. Not as avant garde as it would seem but then it is that i guess LOL

Simply referred to as THE VEGETABLE ORCHESTRA, this is an unusual musical entity

This group creates all the musical instruments from vegetables and plays them in concert.
All is created prior to performing and the group even has a chef on hand to cook all the instruments after the performance. Not sure if anyone actually eats them! Very progressive but unsure if you would actually include this because it isn't rock per se, but since there is a lot of percussion from gourds and other veggies it may.

I have their album ONIONOISE. Very cool and unique stuff

a news clip about the band

i can't think of anything more progressive than this! out of all the new band suggestions this one is probably the most likely you'll accept ---- maybe  Big smile
