I posted about this neo-prog band, Drifting Sun, a couple of months back when they released an EP - now they have released the full album ''Twilight'. Recommended listening, it will be in my top 10 albums for 2017 and a great example of how good modern prog can be. Below is a rather nice track from the album.

If you like this type of mellow, melodic and melancholy prog, also check out Elephant Plaza.

Nice PhideauxFan. Certainly is some great prog coming out of the Scandanavian counties (Von Hertzen Brothers is from Finland).

Here is a guy from Utah, US who has a very modern Scandanavian prog sound (ala Leprous, Katatonia).  Naeramarth, from his recent album The Innumerable Stars.

From Lithium Dawn's new album, Tearing Back the Veil II: Awakening

And another one, this one a bit older, from Rishloo's 2014 album Living with Ghosts with Buildings as Teeth. Interesting time signature as the song develops.

Let me know what you think of these tracks - and post any prog that you have discovered recently....

Aaaah those 32 first seconds during which a great musical trip can be expected... And then that shift to well done, professional etc but cliche hypersensitive-badass sung stuff ruins it all... "Lithium Dawn" : what's that... LOL

Only 32 seconds but great ones, so, all in all, thank you.

Been listening to the new Believe album this weekend, it is very good and offers a more mature and refined sound over their previous work. Worth checking out.
