BLACK LIGHT DISTRICT and ELPH are basically pseudonyms for progressive electronic artists COIL

Also included are the other identities of COIL namely BLACK LIGHT DISTRICT and ELPH

I pointed out that COIL is missing a lot of albums here but i didn't list them out where i put them on ERRORS and OMISSIONS. Is that the right place to report missing albums?

Anywayz, i posted here because the two above-mentioned groups have a different name despite being the same group. I see that other situations where a band has many identities it is all piled together on this site but i have learned to not make assumptions since exceptions do occur

Yam yam informed me that i can add albums despite only being a puppy. My question is should i add Black Light District and Elph (also Coil vs Elph) under COIL? Don't wanna do it until i know it's OK to do so. Help me! Wacko

This depends. The site David posted makes it seem that Black Light District, Elph, and Coil are all the same band, as you mentioned. If they are the same musicians playing under a different name, we can add these albums to the existing band page with a note in the album title and the release notes, see Devin Townsend's page for an example of this (his projects, bands, and whatnot are all under one page).

If it's different bands with one central member of something related, each have to be evaluated individually.

They are the same. I know it for sure. I have been a fan since the early 90s and have kept up with it. Here's more than my words

I'm convinced - go ahead and add the missing albums.

Oh goodie! I want some chicken chewies, a nice big fat bone and a walk around the block so i can pee on all the telephone poles again.

Was doing good but after the last attempt i suddenly get an error page after pushing the submit button.

Guess i'll take a break for now.

For PA benefits you need to visit the slightly hidden fellatio quarters, no refunds though.

Oh, you're talking THAT kind of bone. Hmmmm LOL

Any advice on getting this page:

500 - Internal server error.

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

I uploaded a few albums and now i'm getting this. Does the system not like me anymore? Cry

Don't worry, it's a recurring glitch in the matrix. We all get it from time to time, and very often while adding albums to the forum engine. I am completely useless in most things that has to do with computers, so I sadly don't get this problem.
My advice to you would be to take a break and come back after a good workout/beer/sushi/linedancing/sock washing, and hopefully the site will have gotten itself together by thenSmile

What can I say, I once shagged Nostradamus and have ever since then had a slightly itchy toe that tells me these things.

OK. I have been successful uploading 7 new COIL albums and 2 EPs.
Here's a mystery to solve.

There are 2 EPS titled "How To Destroy Angels"
One is already on here but as a studio album (it's actually a re-mix album of the original EP)
Do re-mix albums count as studio albums?

Here's the original
http://rateyourmusic.com/release/ep/coil/how_to_destroy_angels/

Here's the re-mixed
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/How_to_Destroy_Angels_%28Remixes_and_Re-Recordings%29

I've had enough of this today. Before i knew it i have spent more time thinking about COIL than i have in a while (i listened to them while i was doing this!)

Also, never before have i cared about their titles of tracks. Always seemed to irrelevant!
