Actually they've both made several mistakes. Hamilton's seem to be limited to a Saturday with two spins in Austrian qualy, locking up in Canada, misjudging the drying conditions at Silverstone and then glazing his left front in Spa. Rosberg messed up in Austria and Monaco qualy (I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one) but has made mistakes under braking in Canada, Austria, Spa and now Monza (as well as his laps in judgement when trying to overtake Hamilton), both chasing and defending and in Austria's case when leading comfortably. I've seen a lot of comments from people about Hamilton being mentally weaker than Nico, but it's Rosberg making more mistake when under pressure in the races.

I meant more overall, but this not new...we all know Hami is fast and aggressive, but with a history of perhaps being too much so at times.
Ah I personally never went that far, I know you are referring to others or media in general but well, I pretty much hate media with a fiery passionLOL that mentally weak stuff, esp "x more so than y" sounds a bit like rubbish to me to fill talking time.

Goes with any sport: Oh wow! This quarterback has his supermodel girlfriend in house, last time this happened they lost! Clearly he was distracted by it....
What bullsh*t LOL

Does anyone have an opinion on the the combined IMSA Tudor championship for this year? I generally follow sports car racing in the Pirelli GT Challenge which has been a blast this year with the inclusion of GT3 cars. Cheers.

It's been interesting, but I hate the NASCAR attitude of going racing by throwing full course yellows every time someone sneezes, almost half of Sebring was run under yellow and allowed the least deserving car of the lead group to win. It seems like they're deliberately trying to play to the strengths of the DP's over the LMP2's which are always going to loose out on a restart as they have 200hp less (just watch the end of the Watkins Glen 6 hours, Brundle was right that just wasn't racing). And then there's LMPC, made up of some excellent drivers and morons who are a danger to everyone else (see Tag's crash at Sebring).

That said, there has been some excellent racing and the disparate cars going toe-to-toe has been cool, though I expect when Oak switch from their current Morgan chassis to the Ligier JS2 for the last 3 races they're going to be an even bigger threat, particularly for Petite Le Mans where those fast corners will play right into their hands. GTLM has been suitably close with everybody getting stuck in, and as usual providing the best racing of all. Can't say I pay that much attention to GTD, cut down GT3's and cup cars aren't that impressive, though full on GT3's might be a bit of a problem for the GTLM class.

Anybody watch Formula E this morning?  The series has potential, but there are some weird aspects to it that I didn't care for.  Switching cars instead of traditional pit stops felt kind of lame and out of place (plus took away from strategy) and the constant techno music playing in the background was distracting. Otherwise, the racing could be good if they would look into racing on a traditional course as opposed to all street courses with tons of chicanes.

I couldn't be bothered to get up at 8am on a Saturday for it. I gather the racing wasn't bad, it just looked really, really slow (I believe top speeds never got much above 100mph at any point yesterday). The crash between Heidfeld and Nicolas Prost over the lead at the last corner was interesting, and with Heidfeld rolling it's good to see the cars prove they're strong, but it'll make the WEC race at Austin next weekend awkward since they're team mates at Rebellion Racing, even share the same car I think.

Well, coal fired power stations and 2 cars that you have to swap between mid race.

The car swap was kind of stupid, but that's mainly because I really feel like traditional pit stops add a lot to the outcome of the race and makes it more of a team sport.  What, someone lost because they tripped during the car swap?  Eh, not really appealing to me.  Maybe it will grow on me as the season goes on, as I plan on watching the whole season.

Singapore this weekend. The radio clampdown should be fun, it wont be as comprehensive as originally intended until next year, too many reliability worries with the way cars are currently set up, but here's a list of what the teams can't tell their drivers:

* Driving lines on the circuit
* Contact with kerbs
* Car set-up parameters for specific corners
* Comparative or absolute sector time detail of another driver
* Speeds in corners compared to another driver
* Gear selection compared with another driver
* Gear selection in general
* Braking points
* Rate of braking compared to another driver
* Rate of braking or application of brakes in general
* Car stability under braking
* Throttle application compared to another driver
* Throttle application in general
* Use of DRS compares with another driver
* Use of any overtake button
* Driving technique in general

WEC and USC from Austin this weekend, should be fun. And IndyCar has announced that they'll be racing at Brasilia circuit next year.

Practice times, looks like it's going to be a difficult one for Williams, Ferrari looking surprisingly good.

:O  Cmon Alonso! Can't you steal at least one win this year??
I actually had hope for this race, it's a street circuit so ya know, levels the field a bit and Alonso has a good record at Singapore so I had this one penciled in as a potential podium (I won't go toooooo fanboy crazy and say a win).

The caveat is that Ferrari have tended to run a bit light in practice sessions this year, so they're probably not that close, Ricciardo should be a good one to watch though. At the same time WIlliams tend to run heavy so they're not going to be that bad, and Rosberg didn't set a fast lap as the red flags flew before he could complete it. Vettel had an engine failure so he might get a 10 place penalty, not sure yet.

Excellent qualy session, amazingly close. Ricciardo recons he's going to be fighting Merc for the win.

Damn had to miss the race sadly.
I see Nico had a rough day, starting from Pit Lane and retiring with a "wiring loom" failure. Rough, and this has let Hami retake the points lead. Well, it was inevitable...now this fight is really on!!

Looks like a standard points classification, except for Vergne finishing 6th! Also isn't it crazy to say: Surprised Vettel nabbed a 2nd place finish?! Above Ricciardo to boot.

I feel like the championship is over now that Hamilton has the lead.  Whereas LH seemed to be in a mental turmoil at the beginning of the season, I feel like Nico is in that state now and Hamilton has the upper hand, at least from a psychological standpoint.

It was a damn shame that Button had his mechanical failure yesterday, too.  He was having a great battle with Bottas and Kimi (for 6th, I believe, maybe 7th) when his car just shut down.

No way, I think it's going to the end. Still double points for that last one! Anything can happen.

Interesting that both drivers are on 2 mechanical failures in races for the year and the difference is now 3 points. I'm pretty certain Lewis will win this, he's the better of the two drivers.
