Can't compare - too different, IMO. The Free Hand is somewhat more refined, but the Red is closer to my heart.

I'm going to be in the vast minority here, but I prefer Free Hand a lot more. It's growing to be one of my favorite albums in all of prog rock really.Though Red's good too.

Although I like Freehand quite a bit I have to say this isn't even a fair fight. KC by a city mile. ;)

I'm going to be unorthodox and genuinely say Free Hand on this one - personally. Red is one beast of an album, but Free Hand is stuck in my head 99% of the time.
After all, "Who would believe me now that my hands are free, that my hands are free?!"

Yeah, I had a love/hate thing happening with Gentle Giant for awhile but thankfully love triumphed in the end. In this poll, I still would vote for King Crimson however.
