Great suggestion in the first place, David, but I'm also grateful because I was able to copy and paste some of your information for the CD details add!

Thanks as always, my friend!

Thank you for the suggestion David.

Andrea already brought this outfit to the RPI Team's attention in mid-December, but we can add it to our eval list if the album is now available. I'll post a link to this thread in the RPI Villa. Handshake

I'm assuming that this band is already being considered in the collab zone, as most new RPI candidates tend to get handled 'behind the scenes'...but just in case it isn't...

Aurora Lunare was formed in 1978 in the outskirts of the city of Livorno by a group of friends with a common passion for pop music (the term "Progressive" did not exist then) that they had been listening to for years; above all ELP and Yes among the foreign bands, and PFM, Banco, Le Orme, Area among the Italian ones, in whose covers the group initially ventured.

In December 2013 the first official album "Aurora Lunare" has been released by Lizard Records, with a range of selections composed from the late 1970s up to the present day, but all played again with brand-new arrangements

Description/Reviews:

"An album that wants to revive the original tracks of ‘70s, with the same spirit and creative emphasis, able to combine symphonicity, experiment, poetry and beautiful melodies, recorded today thanks to a miraculous lunarreunion, with additional expressive power, with notable guests like Tolo Marton (a precious contribution in the reinterpretation of "Ritorno al nulla’”from "Felona e Sorona"), Gianluca Milanese (now one of the mostpopular flautists in the field of prog and jazz), Alessandro Corvaglia (unique, great voice of La Maschera di Cera )
The poignant beauty of "Eroi Invincibili" (a potential seventies classic, where the voice of Mauro Pini duets with that of Corvaglia), the mysterious vintage symphonicity of "Evasioni di un’ idea" , the touching lyricism of"Riflessi Indicativi", the progression and the different atmospheres of "Mondo Fantasmatico" and "Secondo Dubbio”, the experimental feature of "Corsa senza meta" and "Interlunio", the hard-sinfo instrumental epicity of "Sfera onirica."
Then, the grand finale with "All’infuori del tempo” and “Ritorno alnulla" with special guest Tolo Marton, a tribute to one of the mostbeautiful pages of the Italian Prog, particularly appreciated by the Aurora Lunare themselves."
