I voted for the gentle opener, so currently leading song ("Giant Hogweed") has too much words for my taste and generally seems too theatrical to me.

Notice:
1. Correct name of the album is "Nursery Cryme", that's actually pun with "nursery rhyme".
2. Did you miss the Genesis debut?

How many times do you read 'Crime' or even 'Crimes' ?? Just like Jethro Tull - "oh yeah, I have a few of his albums...."

Of course, the famous agricultural inventor Jethro Tull could own in the 18th century perhaps only pen and ink drawings, herbarium or sheet music albums.Wink

"...And as his heated breath brushed through the cool mist, a liquid voice called, "Son of gods, drink from my spring"..."

Fountain of Salmacis one of the best lyrics I ever heard. Musical box, Seven stones and For absent friends stunning lyrics too.

Here is the lyrics writers

Musical box (Gabriel)

For absent friends (unknown some said Phillips)

Giant Hogweed (Gabriel)

Seven Stones (Banks)

Harlequin (Probably Rutherford or Banks)

Harold the barrel (Gabriel)

Fountain of Salmacis (Rutherford)

I actually usually dislike Genesis lyrics. I don't really like very much the inteded humor or whatever Gabriel tries to use, nor the images I imagine with his words. I dislike them just about as much as his singing and his theatrics.

Here my answers

1- You are right, was just an unconscious mental lapse. I changed the title.

2- The answer is in the poll before (Trespass). To avoid something tedious I decided to make polls of only those albums which 4 stars or more. (Except The Lamb because it is an only one lyric on its own)
