UK's 'Prog' magazine have an exclusive pre-release stream of this band's new album (to be released on February 14th via Season Of Mist): http://www.progrockmag.com/stream/cynic-exclusive-premiere-kindly-bent-to-free-us/.

The label comments: “Instead of simply repeating their successful formula, Cynic dare to expand their horizon into even more complex soundscapes that demand careful and intense study before revealing their full astonishing beauty.”

Drummer Sean Reinert recently explained: “We’ve had a lot of time to let this material develop and gestate. I couldn’t be happier about what’s happening with these songs. They are truly alive.”

'Kindly Bent To Free Us' is available for pre-order now: http://e-shop.season-of-mist.com/en/predefined-search/45194.

Thumbs Up

The first track sounds pretty cool. I think I'll wait until I've got the CD to listen to the rest.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I've given it a listen. Maybe a bit early to say, but I think it migt be better than Traced in Air.
Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005
