Jeez - where have this band been all my life?
Never really listened to them that much but these albums have some fantastic tracks. Any others worth checking out?

This is difficult. I'll vote for Moonmadness.

For darkness turns once more to light. Through the skies, his white horse flies. To find a land beyond the night. |

Yeah, this is the only Camel album I would have any hope of sitting through without taking a nap. |

I prefer the snowgoose over either one but I chose Mirage. Moonmadness is still very good too though.

Moonmadness has the edge, overall, though Mirage has "Never Let Go" and other cool songs.

Both two stunning albums. Mirage has two amazintg tracks (Lady and Nimrodel) and the rest nothing special. Moonmadness is almost all perfect, no weak points. So as a whole thing, I prefer Moonmadness.
I feel some Deja vu with this poll. I think that not many time ago I said almost the same... is that true?

For some reason I never dug Mirage, but I really like Moonmadness.

Moon is full of strong tracks. Mirage has 2 strong tracks supertwister and nimrodel. Moon is twice as good

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Mirage has a great feeling (or 'vibe')about it which I suspect Camel never really repeated.

Kind of comes down to Lunar Sea versus Lady Fantasy. Can't lose. Think I go for Mirage a bit more. Got both...

Moonmadness. It has its weak moments, but the brilliance of tracks like "Chord Change" and "Lunar Sea" elevate it above Mirage in my estimation.

Mirage was the first album I got from them, and still is my favourite. Moonmadness is wonderful too, of course, but I feel Mirage reaches higher points.
