I don't quite get Marillion. Marbles should have been two albums: one, a prog masterpiece containing 3 tremendous songs (Invisible Man, Nevermind, and Ocean Cloud); and the other album, a really good pop album (not quite great, since it's a decade too late). Have to go with King Crimson, since Marillion really botched that one. (How many people, even here at PA, still haven't heard Ocean Cloud because it was only available via their website?!?)

Marbles. Equal first finest album ever made, whereas Red merely has the finest Mellotron moment of all time.

In order - Magma, Marillion, Gong, Crimso. All truly superb albums, but as much as I like `Red', I probably listen to almost all the previous Crimson albums before it more than this one. I'm not at all surprised to see it so far ahead of the other options, so many people damn worship that album! `K.A', `Marbles' and `You' are all amongst the best albums from each of those bands.

Well it's got to be Red. Never cared much for Marillion, especially not Magma, but You is pretty good

I like all these albums, however "Red" is my favourite and, I consider it to be King Crimson's definitive album.

I may be losing my marbles, but Marillion. Red is an excellent album but KC just isn't a favorite of mine. Not really a fan of the other two.

Going with the leader again here, although You is my favorite Gong album.
