When in doubt, go RIO
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

A special album for me. I honestly just can't get into Metheny for some reason but this album works. And it's not surprising it's on the ECM label because it's so classy and sophisticated.

I think that's Ian's moto too.Big smile Hey it's a great album.
I gotta mention that Elephant9 recording 'cause it's such a powerful beast and having Reine Fiske play guitar on it is just too perfect, a great combination. Love this band.

I think one of the reasons this records resonates with me a lot more than other Metheny albums is that Lyle Mays plays such an important part and gets equal billing as well. I believe it was during the recording of this in Norway that Bill Evans passed away and they made a song in dedication for him on here with the date of his death as the title. Also there's such a cool picture of Metheny and Mays in the liner notes with a ghost-like apprearance of Evans beside them in black and white.

I might have voted for it if I had listened to it beforehand. Anyway I love how the organ can add such a heavy-duty sound, and not like in the seventies, this is something different.

Campo Di Marte for me too, but it's also because I've heard that Samla album only once and it was long ago.
For some reason I couldn't get into Elephant9 and I love everything Reine Fiske is involved with...Ermm

Sag , the Samla 's album is terrific. It is one of these albums where we say that there is exactly the number of notes which is necessary.
