Prog music came about from an old (unknown) rock band where the guitarist could never remember his blues chords so he made things up, the drummer could not keep a rhythm to save his life, and the bassist read a really good book that he wanted to sing about.

Stevie Wonder was for a long time the secret member of Gryphon. His oboe playing was out of this world.

For any music lover, PROG is the most wondrous music in the whole world of music, ever!, instead of being just another remarkable music genre.

Pfff, amateur.
Try this:
- Prog only got better in the 2000's thanks to one-man prog-metal acts done with ProTools (and Djent rules supreme);
- You're not a true prog fan if you're not a libertarian brony complaining about hip-hop/rap music;
- Rush is better than Bach and Miles Davis together.

Kansas is not prog because they grow corn in Kansas. Did Steven Wilson offer to redo Kansas music, no because of the corn. Corn/Prog......not happening.

Prog fans are the most adventurous music fans in the world: they can listen not only to Sympho Prog, but also to Neo-Prog, Prog Metal, Proto-Prog, Crossover Prog, Prog Related...

Prog fans have a solid musical culture: they have the whole Beatles discography, the whole Rush discography, and they even know some stuff by Mozart.

Foreigner is the most underrated prog band.

It takes a certain IQ to fully comprehend the wonderful world of prog rock. People who go for modern pop music are generally uncouth creatures who need their mommies to tie their shoes.

If you play the Flower Kings music backwards it is really not very enjoyable.

If you play the Beatles backwards, you hear the Residents yodeling over Stockhausen's electronic music pieces.

If you play Deicide backwards, you hear Christmas carols (played with low-tuned guitars and blastbeating drums, but still Christmas carols).

If you play Gong backwards, you hear Magma and Christian Vander (but playing drunk).

If you play Merzbow, Torturing Nurse, Hijokaidan, Keiji Haino, Autechre, Pan Sonic together and backwards... Then it means that your CD hi-fi system is 6 CD charger.
Nice.

If you play music backwards, you destroy your stylus faster than if you play music the normal way, dumbass!

Yes would not be as good if they called themselves No. It's all a matter of affirmative marketing.

Initially , Robert Fripp had no intention of being a guitarist. His dream was to open a hair salon on Carnaby Street. And the styling world is lessened by the loss.

However, they would be more popular if they called themselves Yepper!.
