Rick Wakeman's Minimoog sounds like an old whoopee cushion.

Emerson's stabbing of the Old Hammond came about from his years of cutting himself as a moody teen.

Prog is so 74'. #outmoded #drfeelgood #pubrockisthefuture

King Crimson needs 3 drummers, because they often forget to play some songs of the new playlist (especially the songs that the audience can't identify).

I listen to progressive rock on YouTube, so I can believe that the Mellotron sounds are recorded with a MIDI keyboard.

Peter Gabriel's Slippermen Costume inspired the animation for Disney Pixar's new movie "Inside Out"

In the Wake of Posiedon is nothing but a re-shed of King Crimson's masterpiece album Love Beach

Jon Anderson and Rick Wakemen agreed that Circus of Heaven is probably the greatest song Yes ever made

Director of "The Exorcist," Mike Oldfeld, wanted to make a movie of Selling England by the Pound. Peter Gabriel was on board with this, however the other members of Genesis didn't want to after being so scared of The Exorcist and basically all of Oldfields discography. I mean, Phil Collins had nightmares about cavemen after hearing Ommadawn

The song Sugar Sugar by the Archies influenced all of the neo prog bands of the eighties.

ELP's importance is always fully recognized, mainly for NOT including classical elements in their music in an attempt to innovate the whole prog rock scene back then (which was heavily dominated by keyboard led bands with no electric guitars at all.)

Relying on great and catchy melodies is just what prog/progressive rock is not about.

Writing about music is like dancing to a Frank Zappa song.

Love Beach was recorded only because Atlantic told ELP they couldn't just release that photo without any musical content.

____________________________________________________

The meaning behind the cover photo of Love Beach is to depict the historical development of moral decency, as shown in human clothing (from left - savage - to right - nearly civilised).
