I was excited for last night's Pitt/Balimore game but it was a bit of a let down. Just didn't pack that same oomph we expect, I assume from a combo of flags every 5 seconds LOLand both teams being a bit down.

Not saying either will be bad, but not that same skull cracking, epic defense we've grown to love.

Though speaking of epic defense I am quite worried about this Cardinal game. Sadly I'll miss the Giants season home opener since I'll be in Pennsylvania ironically, but that offense has some real potency and that defense is scary!! Not just the line either, they are a team that still blitzes and are still good at it! Brought some major heat, and this may test our O Line even more than Detroit.

None of the games are tooooo appealing to me this weekend, guess hoping Philly loses is the only other I look forward to.

I doubt it. Unless he goes to jail for several years I don't see his career ending here.

Jesus, Eli has to own the record for tipped ball picks. I can't imagine it's something he does to cause so many, but it can't be that much sh*t luck right?

That said, he's been pretty sharp so far. That 90 yard drive was great! Was nice to see him standing in the pocket and zipping it. Gotten so used to that deer in the headlights look recentlyCry God I hope some confidence is building. Was great to see some big Cruz plays/catches and Randle makes the fade catch they love to do. I feel OK Shocked

Oi, Eli played pretty damn well but was let down by his team again.
Soooo we're back to the old days LOL

Victor "I want the ball more" Cruz had I think 3-4 drops, the fumbles, the penalties, the huge return. Things were looking so good for a while.
At least the offense was far better today and Manning was looking sharp and confident. Will remind us rest of the team isn't any good now!

Cleveland beats N'arlins Shocked

Not sure whether to be happy with the Niners/Kaep choking in their home opener or pissed that the Lions are tied with the Bears right now. Hmm...

Truth. Chargers played great...esp that final drive. I would have bet money that Wilson would have marched them down to get the go ahead TD with like :24 remaining...but I'm much happier I was wrong.

Insane results this weekend.  A bookmaker's dream.  San Diego over Seattle?  Bears winning in San Francisco?  Much as I rate the Chargers (they've underachieved last couple of seasons) I really did not see that one coming.

Chargers D had an amazing, inspired effort, really all game, but particularly that last drive.

Patriots game MVP goes to former player Matt Cassel - thanks buddy.  LOL

After the way the Lions performed on Monday night against the Giants, their performance yesterday was quite disappointing.  Back to the SOL (Same Old Lions).

Seahawks met up with a team that gave it to them and were better. Hopefully for all my rabid Hawks fans here in the office they will realize this....Also stopping the Wilson hype, he is good but not great. Rivers is a much better QB.

Hawks will bounce back for sure and probably go on a tear.

What is depressing to me is the inefficient Saints, they simply laid down and gave that win to the Browns. At best they are looking at 10-6 season and probably realistically an 8-8...Still might make the playoffs cause the NFC South looks sh*tty!

I felt the same way.  I didn't expect a W in Carolina (very tough place to play and win), but losing by 17 and only getting 7 points was awful.  The 3 turnovers didn't help, either.

Not a very sterling display this week, shame because honestly this should be the year Detroit turns the corner, Stafford has gotten better every year and has become more of a QB than just a guy who throws it in the vicinity of Calvin, got some more weapons and good lines...   After knocking on the door Lions have to open it finally. I was willing to chuck it up to youth and maybe ill disciplined coaching/culture but that seems to have changed now.

So besides Eli playing better and this Donnell kid looking like a legit TE, according to PFF Will Beatty gave up 1 pressure in 46 pass blocks, so I'm hoping last year was just a bad year and he's back to the guy we gave all that $$$ to. It can't be coincidence Eli looked a lot better with the better protection.

Well here's to hoping the Eagles go down tonight!

Edit: Oh what a flop last night's game was. Really thought Kap was looking good but he really Romo'd that game away. Also if that was Marshall and Jeffrey not at 100% dear god....we should be scaredLOL

Maybe it's just me not being a superfan of the lions, but idk...potent offense versus strong defense usually tilts in favor of the defense, esp when that defense is at home.

Of course, the lions do have road issues so Scott's same ol' lions may indeed be accurate as well.

Until I see some consistent promise, it'll always be SOL for me. LOL

People call me a pessimist, I see myself as a realist.
