No it's true. They do seem to be on the precipice of a being a very good to great team but refuse to take the step for some reason. I do think the new regime will help in the long term though.

And sometimes they are the same thing.

Well....this is even more ugly than I expected, and I figured it would be pretty ugly.
Yikes!

Wow, I really thought Hester would have a few years and fizzle out like most phenom returners, but damn he's still got it. OK maybe the Buccs really suck, but still he's got speed moves and vision.

Well...is that what the locals said? LOL
I think we all figured this would lopsided to Atlanta but yikes!!!

56-0 (those 14 points they picked up were pretty much meaningless) that was uglier than me nakedShocked

Well I'll finally get to my first Giant game, given their suck and our mild improvements good lord I hope we can beat HoustonLOL
Denver/Seattle is of course the biggie this weekend. Can Peyton and co (and an improved defense) actually show up? I know it sounds cliche, but really they gotta prove something here. After the record shattering offense to be whipped like that? Sad.

Now THAT was a great game! Yeeeaaah Giants. They could've easily had 6 to10 more points if not for fumbles...
Eli was near perfect, Cruz finally broke out, and this Jennings is looking good. 176 yards and a long of 18 to think, he was just breaking tackles and racking up 10 yard runs. Amazing. Defense was near shut out, sans a few big plays and a good drive...what can ya do? Special teams suck but I see real potential for the future. And Eli is back! 21-28 for 2 tds no picks. No dumb throws...looks confident, didn't see an errant pass in this one, at least not that bad.

Also I'm loving the tempo! Finally some speed, after all the years of that slooooow offense, leave the huddle, audible, point out the MLB, FAIL. So nice to see no huddle, where Eli was always best.

Damn I am worried! RG3 is not good, but Kirk Cousins...I miss GriffinCry
Nick Foles is legit, dude seems scary good.

And I'll say it: I think the Bengals are gunna be good this year. I'd dare even say a Denver/Cincy game.

WOW! After their manhood was basically questioned...Denver has stepped up today.
After being roughed up all day long: 80 yard drive, 40 seconds and no timeouts, TD and 2 pt conversion to tie it up and got to OT. That was a clutch and ballsy effort.

Congrats to Seattle on closing it out, that was a superb drive. What a game!

That will be interesting, and I look forward to it.

I'm so happy the Bengals are looking good this year. I was worried about Zimmer leaving last season, but I guess I don't have to worry anymore. After seeing what Atlanta's offense can do and seeing the Bengals shut them down last week, things are looking way up. Our next game against the Patriots will go a long way in proving it. And I'm sure Tom Brady hasn't forgotten last season's meeting which may have been one of his worst games ever.

Makes me wonder just how well Cincinnati's defense can match up against Manning. Our defense is good, but Manning has always found ways to win against the Bengals.

Don't want to get in a whole thing here but the Bengals have looked good for the past couple of years. Sure they keep getting better looking with the players they acquire, but how could you call a team that has made the playoffs the past three years not good?

The real question is how can they hold up on the road. At home they are usually lights out (especially defensively) but if they can translate some of that to road games they might be a legit contender. Especially since the patriots look so off!

To be fair, we're getting that December 22nd. On MNF. Tongue

Alright, so here are some things I've learned so far this season (even though Week 3 isn't over yet):

1. Lots of people picked the Bucs as a wild card team. Lots of people are clearly wrong after last Thursday's game. But hey, at least they aren't the worst team ever!

2. Even with the Broncos loss, in a game I figured would be a heck of a lot closer than the SB last year, I think the top 3 teams in the league currently rank as follows:

1. Seattle
2. Denver
3. Cincinnati

#3 is going to be tested in 2 weeks in a trip to Foxboro. I'll have a more concrete opinion of my team at that time. The only game that's concrete to me so far is Atlanta, and I'm not judging it off of one week yet.

3. The NFC East is still the worst division to watch games of. Sorry, Brian. Tongue

4. I'm going to the game on December 22nd, and it will be very cold.

That's about it for now.

They can't. It's really tough to stop a guy who can line up, decide he doesn't like what he sees defensively, and change to a play that exposes a defense's weaknesses. I think it's more about covering his receivers well and not allowing YAC. Basically, what they did to Atlanta. And I think Seattle did a damn good job of it for over 3 1/2 quarters today. So we'll see.

Like I said, we get to find out the answer to that question on December 22nd. But I would go ahead and put both teams playing each other in the AFC title game after this week.

Hell of a day yesterday - Eagles/Skins and Broncos/Seahawks were both barnburners.

Yeah some epic games.

After a horrid year in 2013, following his great 2012...I'm hoping LT Will Beatty is rebounding. 1 pressure surrendered against the Cards, and 0 against the Texans.
The whole line held up well pass and block, sans a few freak Watt plays so I'm praying we've rebuilt the O line in one off season and it's already gelling. aka a miracle LOL

Ugh, I know.  Even when we win, we can't win.  Not too many people know who our LBs are, but DeAndre Levy and Stephen Tulloch are beasts and losing Tulloch for the season is going to hurt down the stretch, especially if the offense/Stafford can't their heads out of their bums and start producing like they should.  The defense won them the game yesterday, clearly, but I worry that they won't be able to put that kind of pressure on QBs for the whole season and when they don't, the secondary will be torched.

So far can't figure my Steelers out, they almost threw one away to the Browns.  Then they lay an egg against the Ravens and this past Sunday they ran over the Panthers.  Lost some key players in that one.
Hopefully in week 4 this is not Tampa Bay's coming out party against us.

Was some excellent games in week 3.
