Also great it was Tuck that had to be the one to save the Raiders from almost blowing the game.
At least he's still kept his mind over there in the disaster of Oakland.

Yeah, just like JPP in 2010 "Cmon Reese seriously?? I mean he's probably gunna be a good player but aren't there more pressing/important needs to use on a first round pick? We have enough rushers (or WRs)" and again, I'm kicking myself.LOL He's a beast, and can only improve as a WR still. Thank god, because IF Cruz loses his explosiveness like predicted, we'll need ODB. If not, that'll be one helluva duo.

Actually with Nicks gone, I thought WR was definitely a draft need. Perhaps not the most pressing (o-line) but certainly something that needed to be addressed early.

I'm certainly liking the results thus far. Cool

I was really hoping for an 0-16 season for the Raiders this year.  I'd rather the Lions not be the only team to "achieve" this "feat".  So, I kept the bubbly stored away. LOL

Maybe the longest losing streak of the NFL, Tampa Bay Bucs when they were an expansion team may help ease the pain LOL.  They went 0-26 when the seasons were 14 games long back in 1976-77.  They had those terrible pumpkin color uniforms Wacko

Kind of, except the Lions are the first and so far, the only, team to go 0-16.  And I happen to like those dreamsicle uni's. LOL

This is kind of like shooting fish in a barrel for Tom Brady.  The Lions' #1 offense looks like a bad high school squad so far.

We're done.  I expected a loss, but the team looks absolutely horrendous, especially the offense, which seemed out of sync the whole damn day.  I'm embarrassed.

The next 3 games are at home against Chicago, Tampa, and Minnesota.  They should be able to win all 3 of those, but I expect that they will probably lose one of those.  The last two games are against Chicago and Green Bay.  Outdoors in the cold does not bode well, so I am thinking 10 and 6 or 9 and 7.  Might be enough to get in as a Wild Card, but I can see them ending up on the outside looking in.

Nothing too far out of the expected results today so far. The Gmen are playing well and Beckam's (sp?) catch was one of the top plays of all time.

as I type Dallas just scored, close game!

Ugh.......f**k! Our defense sucks, zero pressure, players wide open half the time, LBs are pretty much ghosts. I mean they are NO WHERE to be seen. Up 21-10 and it was choked away, eeeeeeaasy. Also this O line. Holy hell...no run blocking, all our successful runs are to the outside or draws. I mean they consistently can't even make 1 yard. Pass blocking has been inconsistent to say the least.

Thank god for Beckham, this kid is a FREAK. He's had some big plays this year and some good games but this was a thing of beauty. That catch!! He's fast as hell, deep threat, great hands and a tough guy. Him and Cruz next year are going to be an amazing duo. And Eli played well but he had that one bad pass, and it was the turning point....just ugh.

At least this can go down as another moment of NY infamy

The Pats-Lions game was on live in the UK so I saw this game Scott.  The Lions seemed almost disinterested, no real passion at all, especially on offense.  I thought this had the makings of a classic encounter beforehand but it was anything but.  To be fair though the Lions were on the road against a Patriots team that are looking the real deal.  Hats off to Bellichick, the Pats weren't on my short list at the start of the season but they look a shoe-in to reach the Superbowl from the AFC side of the fence.

It will be very interesting to see how the Packers-Patriots game goes next weekend.

Lions offense was ranked #1?
....the danger of statistics lol
I guess in some statistical way they were but that seems veeeeeeeeery far fetched, I mean Green Bay?? And haven't the Lions been like, just eeking out wins?

Speaking of eeking out, San Fran has problems and it has to be put on Kaepernick. People are now saying, oh the irony, "Probably should've stuck with Alex Smith"LOL

Interesting game for Denver, after not being able to move the offense, they couldn't stop anything on defense. Not fully sure how to feel about them.

Still bummed about last night, what a grueling loss...unlike SF which was a miracle we had any hope, they actually competed toe to toe with Dallas last night. I think all hurts a bit more in the big picture. Given how crap the play calling was last week, seeing this week the Giants actually calling some runs to the oustide, and a play action on the goal line that ended in a wide open TD, and some deeper passes that were largely successful, and generally leaving Eli in control of this game..makes me think to recent ones and say "Why the hell did it take 4 weeks to come up with these???"LOL

Lions defense was ranked #1.  Their offense is in the bottom half of the pack.

Oh, a typo on your part :P
It is funny how the tables have turned though with Detroit, offense and defense swapping!

Also, how did I forget to mention the return of Josh Gordon. 120 yds on 8 catches after missing 10 games? Pretty impressive, kid is a stud. Ya know, with him back, their D, some improvements over the offseason could make Cleveland veeeery interesting.

Balimore/N'arlins will hopefully be a fun game.

Yep.  Typo on my part.  Testing to see if anyone was paying attention. Wink

The Lions are 7-4 and they are still going to be the least-exciting game to watch this Thanksgiving.

What are the other 2 games?  Dallas-Philly and San Fran-Seattle?

Two games between division leaders and wild card contenders.

On the other hand the Lions play the downward-trending Bears.

Too bad the AFC doesn't get any airtime this year.
