okay my poll of non-legend prog bands went iffy, so i decided a poll between a class 1 and a class 2-3 prog band, whom are relativly known outside prog, or atleast influenced bands in some degrees but not powlike.

Piling on the Giant although my collection would not be complete without Nektar. I had the honor of seeing GG on tour for Civilian when they had about five more shows to go and newly reconstituted Nektar when they dropped by Atlanta with Caravan.

I prefer to listen to Nektar but I find GG the better group. I voted Nektar since they need more love on this poll.

Agi - powlike ?? Haha.......
Nektar are very dear to me coz I discovered them years before I came into GG.
GG are stupendously marvellous but I think I'll have to go with Nektar on this one. They just hit the right spot with me.

Gentle Giant is the best of the two bands in almost every aspect, but they don't fill my heart with joy when I listen to them the way Nektar do. I vote Nektar.
