Mastodon announced on Facebook today that their new album is studio complete and is being mastered.

Progression from The Hunter ey? I just want that heavy psych feel they had on some songs off of The Hunter.

I am with the general consensus that Crack the Skye is the absolute bomb. It is such a perfect album.  However, I listen to them with all albums in a playlist and enjoy them all.  So if it is more of the same from the Hunter, I would not be disappointed.
