Topic: RD. 2 Avant/RPI/Jazz (7) Posted: April 15 2014 at 05:53 |
These are fairly even in my world so I need to give these a spin before voting. I should also mention that because the Jazz and RPI albums won more polls in round one than Avant that there will be polls like this without an Avant album in round two.

Voted for Herbie I do think it has a strong avant vibe to it though - even if we're talking avant jazz. I actually think all the Mwandishi releases carry that mad gene. Probably also why I love them so much.

...along with Phil and Sagi. I thought the Italians would be further ahead, I do prefer Per Un Amico much more to this one and L'isola Di Niente even more.

The duck and the octopus pick Wigwam's very entertaining record called "Being". Man all three of the choices here are so good.

I voted Herb as well, as I mentioned all three of these are so close for me that I could pick a different one next month.

For sure this has a muscular(haha) avant vibe to it. Mwandishi even more me thinks. Love the electric piano on this.
