Very commercial sounding. Kind of bland and the chorus seems a bit Ozzy'ish. It picks up with the end's instrumental passage but other than that it's quite simple..

A weak 3/5 or 2.5/5..

Hoping for better material.

Yeah, this is probably a fine song for commercial radio, but it doesn't move the prog needle at all. Hoping for better material indeed.
And if you can't be with the prog you love, honey, love the prog you're with.

pretty cool, Nice riff and fits into the Mastodon mentality of not be doing what the fans wants but what the band want.

Yes, they seem to have progressively turned to less progressive material with every new release so no surprise for me.
Typical heavy/stoner-sounding riff, nice but that's about it...

Didn't hold my interest at all, which is a first for Mastodon

I think there is a ghost theme/horror/mystery "theme" on the album, vail not a concept album, but 5 of the 11 tracks alludes to horror / ghosts and mystics .

Track listingEdit

No.TitleLength
1."Tread Lightly"

2."The Motherload"

3."High Road" 4:15

4."Once More 'Round the Sun"

5."Chimes at Midnight" 5:32
