Strawbs>Gryphon (by a fraction)>>>>>>>>>>Comus.

Except Hero & Heroine isn't really prog folk.

I love all those three records and bands. But i have to go with Gryphon. A terrific baroque-prog tour de force.

For personal reasons, Hero & Heroine is my all-time fave album. Big smile It has healed me so many times, I have lost count.
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

I am with the majority of peeps here, even if I adore the opening cut on Hero and Heroin and the majestic and cryptic Lament on Red Queen...there's just nothing that compares to the eerie lunacy of First Utterance. I think it's beautiful.

Oh and from now on until 2028 I'll advertise Perry Leopold's masterpiece Christian Lucifer in all threads that have to do with prog folk!
There are aparently only two people who know this brilliant album on PA, Greg ( Logan) and myself
Seriously, more people should be listening to this album. I honestly believe that.

I have a copy so I haven't been looking tbh
I think I paid 80 kr for it, which translates into something like 15 American bucks.

Great set of albums. I'm giving it up for Strawbs on this one.

Comus
