If you don't mind instrumental stuff, any of the Canvas Solaris albums would probably be up your alley. And, even though it's much more frantic and heavy, Spiral Architect's 'A Sceptic's Universe' owes a great debt to the first Sieges Even album (which itself owes a great debt to Watchtower).

Just found this band, and it's amazing:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwvoPOmdEo8

Life Artist, from Germany as well, they released a demo and a CD. The closest to Sieges Even on Steps/A Sense of Change I've found, but a very unique sound, great musicians and songs! :D :D :D

I really like Sieges Even too!!

Chech these bands

I recommend you Spiral Architect - A sceptic´s Universe
Twisted in to Form - Then Comes Affliction to awaken the dreamer
Subsignal (members of sieges even Here) - Paraíso
Jester´s March - Beyond

If you like bands in more thrashing vein

Hexenhaus - Dejavoodoo
Unleashed Power - Quintet of Spheres
Anacrusis - Manic Impressions
Toxik - Think This
Coroner - RIP

Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects Sol Niger Within

A beautiful jazzy drumming and magnificent fusion-like guitar work.

Hawkeye_Maverick,

Did you try Arno Menses and Markus Steffan's post Sieges Even Band Subsignal?  I do not think the rythym section is good but I liked some of their songs.

To hope the road is long
Last light of summer
Rain is the most beautiful color

...were all good songs.

How about Zero Hour, notably heavier but very much in the vein of Sieges Even. Their last album Dark Deceiver is my favourite but The Towers of Avarice and  Specs of Pictures Burnt Beyond are both good albums as well.
Oh, okay. I agree.. Hey, what about Sithu Aye & Plini? it's a heavy, jazzy and melodic contemporary stuff.

Well, the poster asked for something melodic & jazzy, mixed with hard rock, and  I posted that song by Alice Cooper.
Maybe this one fits better.

Sieges Even is killer, there is little like them. Enchant is kind of Rush like, but not jazzy.
