Wow, that guy is under rated. I got Thud and the Shaming of the true a couple of weeks ago. The shaming of the true is now one of my favorite albums. I cant' see how that guy didn't become huge. He probobly would have made it if he didn't... umm... die so tragicly... in 99'. I looked into kevin gilberts music history and found giraffe, I got there album and loved it, seriously, that guys a musical genious.

Agreed. You should write a review to promote his albums - he's not really underrated, just "underreviewed". Here's what I said about Shaming of the True:

Kevin Gilbert was an amazing musician who help set Spock's Beard onto the right path, producing and writing some of their material. 

"The Great Nothing" on V is a tribute to KG

Rumor has it that KG was supposed to replace Phil in Genesis in 99 but he died before he could audition.
