Hey, welcome to my intro!

I'm Watcher of the sky, I chose this nickname because I really like that song (and Foxtrot album, and I'm Genesis fan)

Well, I would like to say I'm a new in the Prog Rock, I already listen since 2 years ago but compared to some guys here, I'm a newbie.

In this 2 years  listening to Prog, I already listen most of the "mainstream' bands and albums, here's a list:

- Rush
- Genesis
- ELP
- Pink Floyd (My favorite)
- Camel (My second favorite)
- Jethro Tull
- King Crimson
- Van Der Graaf Generator
- Yes
- Marillion

and ETC

I also like some New Prog like Porcupine Tree and Riverside.

My objectives here are (obviously) discuss about bands and albums, get recommendations from members, discuss about any other suject that is in topic, and of course, be part of the round tables Big smileBig smile

I also play a few games in PC (Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty BO2 for exemple), who wants to play with me send me a PM with your steam name and I will add you :)

Anyway, this is my starting thread, hope you like me :)

(Btw sorry for grammar mistakes)

I can't believe that name hasn't been claimed before!! Well, welcome Watcher!!

If you like Riverside, (and who doesn't!! God, I love them) you should check out Anathema. Hype is about to take place with their new album Distant Satellites (though from their single released The Lost Song, I'm doubting their progression...) In your bio it says you're 16...? You have so much to discover, oh man. I remember when I first heard The Snow Goose by Camel just on a whim, recommended on iTunes, I couldn't believe my ears. I nervously laughed in my bed, nearly bursting from overwhelming happiness. If you want more Camel, I'd try Ragnarok's debut. Magical.

And I hope you know about Anthony Phillip's solo pieces if you're into Genesis!! The Geese & The Ghost, Tarka, 1984, Slow Dance, Seventh Heaven, New England, and Back To The Pavilion are all brilliant albums. Tarka goes unnoticed around these parts, but I think of it like an ambient Genesis/Camel. Sure it's slow, but it builds beautifully. I admire Phillips more than any member to grace Genesis, believe THAT. Alright, enough of my chatter. Have a good time!!

Welcome Watcher! I'm certain that in the future you'll discover that many ''unknown'' bands are of equal quality.
Some of them,even better!
Enjoy the ride!
