I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

RIO/Avant.

Prog Related is winning so far? I don't understand. This is a Prog site, right?

It's interesting that you've eliminated Neo and Symphonic. They're the 2 subgenres that the uninitiated would think of first when they heard the term "progressive".

"Prog Related" has some good music in it but I'd rather vote for actual subgenres. Proto-prog is closer to being a legitimate subgenre, but probably not quite.

RIO/Avant has a lot of substantial music within it, so I'll go for that even if I'm enjoying some prog metal these days.

Eliminated?  They and eclectic were the first three winners.

The uninitiated have never heard of symphonic or neo or eclectic, it's all just prog to them.
